Products description

Novitec Powerjet 3 for Alfa Romeo 159 / Brera / Spider 939 1.8 TBi engines (with 200 bhp).
Easy to install using plug&drive technology. Anybody can mount or dismount the PowerJet 3 within 10-30 minutes.
There are 3 plugs of the engine's original wiring harness which have to be connected to the Y-cables of the wiring harness of the additional ECU. In addition the Powerjet 3 has to be connected to the car's battery.

The Powerjet 3 reads the sensor data with multichannel-technology, modifies it and sends it to the original ECU without changing the original characteristic diagramme.
We recommend to use fuel with 98 or 100 octanes (Super Plus, high octane, Ultimate, VPower etc). This is basicly not needed, only if you want to have the full power. We also recommend a sport airfilter and a Ragazzon sport exhaust system.

  • 159 / Spider / Brera 1.8 TBi: 242 bhp / 370 Nm.
Attention
Please note that every chip tuning will increase engine wear a little. Chip tuning uses the reserve capacity that Alfa has programmed into the for the original ECU of the 1.8 TBi engine.

The bypass plug which is available as option can be connected to the Powerjet's cable harness instead of the black ECU box. It allows to drive the Alfa with the factory set-up without removing the Powerjet's cable harness from the engine.
